In the present chapter a number of representative examples are documented and discussed where numerical methods in acoustics, namely the finite element method and the boundary element method, are validated by measurements. On the one hand, the possibilities and limitations of modern calculation procedures are shown and, on the other hand, some experiences when comparing measurements and computations are shared.
